https://issues.roundup-tracker.org/ is python bug tracker??

John P. Rouillard
Hi all:

Can anybody verify that connecting to:

  https://issues.roundup-tracker.org/

looks like the python bug tracker? Also the certificate for it is
registered to: bugs.python.org

I assume something is wrong here but I am not sure if it is my systems
or the server.

Have a great week all.

Yes, seems the apache-config is wrong there. Both trackers run on the
same machine but it seems now the roundup url points to bugs.python.org,
too.

I'm CC-ing Martin v. Löwis who has given me access to the tracker at the
time. Maybe he knows what was changed recently

Not likely.  He hasn't been involved with the maintenance of that server
for a while, though he does still have permissions there.

There was a relatively recent ticket about the cert needing renewal,
so perhaps something got changed during that process.  Assuming it has
ever worked for https.  I don't recall ever registering or installing
a cert for roundup-tracker.org when I was doing the cert management,
so my guess is that this has never worked "right", even if the https
proxy forward used to work.

This stuff is now in the purview of the python.org infrastructure team,
#python-infra on freenode, mailing list at [hidden email],
which I have CCed.  I have access to that server, but I think it would
be better to have Mark (who I think made the change) deal with it unless
he needs my help.

At this point I hope we are using letsencrypt certs and can just set
one up for roundup-tracker.org, but I don't actually know the current
cert status.

I got the following notice:

  issues.roundup-tracker.org uses wrong certificate.

Certificate is valid only for bugs.python.org, www.bugs.python.org

 (Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)
